Australian Plants and Trees

Hello My Dear Great Ones,

One of the great pleasures of traveling is seeing nature.  The variety on this little planet is astounding.  Australia's plants and trees are amazing. Some of the trees I saw were as tall as Red Woods.  Or it seemed like it.  Much of Australia's jungle reminded me of the movie Jurassic Park.  Lots of ferns, lots of strange squawking birds adding to the dawn of time atmosphere.  Here is a small sample of what Celia and I saw:

Australian Landscapes

My Dear Great Ones,

Australian landscapes are big, beautiful and dramatic.  Here is what I mean:

In the blue mountains looking back towards Sydney.

Keep driving in this direction for a day or two and you will get to the outback.

The Three Sisters at Katoomba, Australians version of the Grand Canyon.

Looking towards the Blue Mountains.

The bush and kangaroos go together.

Lots and lots of sheep in Australia.

More views from on high.  The white in the background is cloud cover.

Most hills in Australia are covered with trees.

Rugged beauty at Eden.  When whales migrate they come through here.

The long, pristine, empty beaches of Queensland amazed us. 

Dense jungle covers these hills.  Queensland.
