All Glory, Honor, Power is Yours, Amen

"Cannons"
It's falling from the clouds
A strange and lovely sound
I hear it in the thunder and rain
It's ringing in the skies
Like cannons in the night
The music of the universe plays

Singing, You are holy, great and mighty
The moon and the stars declare who You are
I'm so unworthy, but still You love me
Forever my heart will sing of how great You are

Beautiful and free
The song of galaxies
Reaching far beyond the Milky Way
Let's join in with the sound
Come on let's sing it out
As the music of the universe plays

All glory, honor, power is Yours, Amen
All glory, honor, power is Yours, Amen
All glory, honor, power is Yours, forever Amen

Within Walking Distance of My Home

...Celia in front of our building.  We live on the top floor. (Top balcony)...

Hello My Dear Great Ones,
I love the home I share with Celia.  Comfortable, nice, with a roof top, it is in a sweet location right on the edge of a jungle.  Another great feature of our home is that there are many interesting things to see and do within walking distance of our abode.  Below are a few examples...

...walking trails/roads with moss covered cement walls built along hills to prevent mudslides...
... interesting vegetation.  Here is Celia in the midst of some giant leaves...
...are lots of trails...
...and stairs...
...cement soccer pitches, very common in Hong Kong, are nearby...
...as well as a park with many interesting plants...
...spectacular views of Tsuen Wan, (part of Kowloon),
...buddhist temples...
...this tower is part of a buddhist temple...
...lovely roads...
...inside of a temple ground...
...beautiful nature scenes...
...lovely walking trails...
...view of Shing Mun Dam (Sing mon soy tong)
...roses and bogainvillas are in bloom almost year round...

...city workers with their massive sun protective headgear are common...
...as are squatter homes deep in the jungle...
...sun protection amongst the natives can be pretty extensive....

So you see Celia and I are within walking distance of some pretty interesting sites and people.

Have a great week.

Love adios and ping on!

Ngong Ping to Shek Mun Kap

Hello My Dear Great Ones,
One of Hong Kong's great tourist attractions is the giant buddha (Ngong Ping).  Since it is located on top of a small mountain there are numerous trails, a road, and a cable car to get up to it.  One of the trails is the Shek Mun Kap trail. It is a paved beauty and believe me it is better to go down than up, unless of course you are interested in a great workout. (note some pics below were taken by Celia's i phone)  Thanks dear!

The journey starts near the Giant Buddha site.
Lighting was bad for taking a pic of the buddha.

On the way to the Wisdom Path.

Near the Wisdom Path.

About 400 meters away from the Wisdom Path is an archway.  Not sure what it says but maybe it says "Shek Mun Kap, A Really Nice Hike."

 Jungle trail.  All paved.

 Some Chinese graffiti.
Great views of Tung Chung and the airport from the trail.

 Sweet.
Half way down is a buddhist monastery.

 The entrance to it.
Along the way are bamboo groves.
 Amazing ferns with mountain backdrop.

A Buddhist monk(ette?) walking down to the monastery.

Some beautiful mountain scenes along the trail.

 A beautiful creek.

A Celia panorama shot of myself admiring the vista.

Have a great week everyone.  God bless you!

Love adios and ping on!
