Happy Birthday!

Hello My Dear Great Ones,
The birthdays are coming fast and furious now.  The big 6 0 is looming like a giant mountain.  I recently celebrated my 58th and I took a little look at my life.  Having a sweet wife and some good friends to celebrate the day with was great.  Getting cards, text messages, emails, and some hugs was great.  I also am grateful for good health and having a job that is more than a job.  It is a mission and I am grateful for that.  So lots to be thankful for.  Thank you for your prayers.

 Celia and I celebrated the day with friends at a rooftop restaurant overlooking Central Hong Kong.  The weather was great!

 At school I got some well wishes as well.  This kid's card was awesome.

I had a very happy birtherday!

 Hello Dear Great Ones,
I got a new camera!  A canon eos 4000.  A great upgrade.  Here are a few shots from a practice round I took the other morning in my "backyard."  Having a zoom lens that goes from 18 to 200 is awesome!

Hello My Dear Great Ones,

Celia and I live a privileged life.  One major reason why is because we are 100 meters from a 44 thousand hectare sized country park, which is astounding with its variety of plant life, animals, and scenic wonders.  Here is a small sample of what our "backyard," looks like.

Classic Concert in Hong Kong

Hello My Dear Great Ones,

Celia and I got cultured on Friday night.  We headed to the oldest church in Hong Kong, the 170 year old St. John's  Cathedral, to enjoy a concert by the Hong Kong Welsh  Male Voice Choir and the  British Brass Company.  Our friend Bill has been part of the Welsh choir for 31 years so we came to cheer him on.  It was a an enjoyable and interesting evening.  The audience was made up of very old white people, so for once I was one of the younger ones instead of the opposite.   Money raised by the concert went to an organisation that helps protect the rights of domestic workers.  A very noble cause indeed.
