Filipino Life

Hello My Dear Great Ones,
It is easy to hide out at a resort in the Philippines and be totally oblivious to how the average filipino lives.  Here is a little pictorial of life that was near our resort this past Christmas.  Filipinos are very friendly and kind people.  Yes many live in poverty, but despite that there are plenty of smiles.  Maybe it is because they live in paradise.

 Transporting bamboo.

 Hauling cinderblocks.
 Public transport.

 Hanging out.

 Colorful vehicles.

Dog has a country road to himself.

 Peaceful country living.

Some kids giving me some smiles.

 House in a garden.
Timeless.  Some boys playing with a ball.

No need for windows when the average temp all year is plus 29.

A parking lot in front of a basketball court.

Basketball is a favourite sport of many filipinos.

A group of players taking it easy.

 Note the shoes.
 Lots of smiles.

Many houses are brightly colored.

Have a great week everyone!

Interesting Bohol Wildlife

My Dear Great Ones,
Happy New Year!  Well the past decade ended off in style with Celia and I visiting a small island just off Bohol, Philippines called Cabilao island.  It has great diving as the videos will show.  We also went on Bohol to a small zoo and saw aTarsier.     I not only love a certain filipina, but I also love the Philippines.  A wonderful place with amazing nature and people.

Never saw a cloud of fish like that ever.  The barracudas swimming nearby were awesome.

Jumping fish.  Obviously trying to get away from a predator.

Tarsiers are any haplorrhine primates of the family Tarsiidae, which is itself the lone extant family within the infraorder Tarsiiformes. Although the group was once more widespread, all of its species living today are found in the islands of Southeast Asia, specifically the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei.[3]

The butterflys at the Tarsier zoo were beautiful...

Have a great week!

Love adios and ping on!
