It is a little different here

Hello Incredible Ones,
Sorry a little late this week getting the blog updated.  I am enjoying a long weekend and got a little distracted.

I went to a mall, Festival Walk, very briefly on Saturday morning to get a few things and was astonished to see hundreds of people lining up at the Mac Store to get the latest iphone.  All that effort for a phone?  Still don't really get the iphone thing.  Seems people spend an ordinate amount of time on a phone these days.  People laugh at my "old" two year phone and say I really need to update.  Man how did we survive living without an iphone in the old days.  Very well I say, very well…

At the Apple store.  Store workers were giving the customers high fives as they came in the store.  Yeah I would to if they were willing to spend 100's on a phone.

A massive crowd waiting for the opportunity to spend 100s on a phone.  Get a life dudes!

After my quick trip to the mall I headed to sweet Lamma, where I journeyed to a new undiscovered  beach called Lo So Shing.  It must mean Excellent Secluded Beach.  It is awesome and is now officially my favorite beach of all time.  Big Wave ranks a close second.  Lo So Shing had barely any people, even though it was Saturday, the water was clean, and there was a shark net and facilities.  Perfect.

Lo So Shing Beach.   Awesome.

Later that evening I was at my apartment complex and spent some time in the garden, that is located by the pool on top of the car park, with hundreds of kids and their parents.  It is mid-autumn festival and the kids got to stay up late carrying lanterns and glow sticks.  It was fun to watch and I later fell asleep to the excited murmuring of the kids voices.  Cool.

A mid autumn festival display.  Rather garish and weird, but hey its kinda fun.

Finally I ended up at Festival Walk mall again this weekend on a mission to get a book and lo and behold I came upon a Germany display.  I  will let you make your own judgements about it.  Kind of weird would be kind…

The Brandenburg Tor?  With soldiers in front…? huh what?

The black forest with Neuschwannstein in the background.

Well thats it for this week.  Not a day passes by here in Hong Kong where I am not left amazed at something.  Have a great week and God bless you all.

Love adios and peng on!

Dirk
