A Walk In Shing Mun

Hello My Dear Great Ones,
Celia and are so fortunate to live on the edge of a 44 000 hectare country park.  It has been great especially during covid.  A welcome respite from staying home all the time.  The other morning Celia and I went for a walk through our "backyard," with a friend.  As usual it was a great work out with plenty of up hills to get you huffin and puffin and covered in sweat.  Here are a few shots of our walk:

Celia.  Best hiking buddy ever!

On. the way to Shing Mun.  This slope has all been cemented in to prevent mud slides.  A common sight in HK.

At the "gate"of Shing Mun Park.  It used to be a hideout for pirates and they actually had a fort.  Hence the faux castle gate.  Kitsch really.

Lots of steps.

Walk along the Shing Mun Reservoir.

A canal collects water rushing down the mountains during a rain storm.

Beautiful...

We went off the road up a rugged trail.

Then it was down a million steps.  People going up were in pain, wondering when their torture would end.

Heading back home.

Have a great week.  Stay healthy and find some green spaces to make your day.

Love adios and ping on!

Dirk
