Hello My Dear Great Ones,
Peng Chau Island is a delightful little place located just off Lantau Island. It is a very local place, (traditional) and seems to be a haven for old retired Chinese folk. No cars are allowed on the island which makes it even more delightful, bikes are the main mode of transportation. Awesome. Celia and I spent a few hours last week on Peng Chau and had an enjoyable time. Here are a few pics from our outing.
The local shops were displaying lanterns in different colors and shapes. It was mid-autumn festival when Celia and I were there.
The narrow streets of Peng Chau are charming.
Lunch. Dumplings, pork and rice, and a chicken foot. We passed on the foot.
The waitresses pushed carts around with food you could choose to eat.
Anyone for a chicken foot?.....
.....Not I.
Vegetables were on sale everywhere.
Celia biking on her nice pink bike.
Some of the abodes on Peng Chau.
This place was overwhelmed with plant life.
Lanterns add color and class.
Fish hanging out to dry is a common sight on Peng Chau.
An abandoned building succumbing to the jungle.
A courtyard of a housing complex on Peng Chau.
A Chinese drug store.
Hanging with my fellow senior citizens on Peng Chau.
Have a great week everyone!
Love adios and ping on!
Dirk
